The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Written by L. Frank Baum in 1900, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has been translated into more than 40 different languages and has become a cultural icon to children everywhere. Originally titled The Emerald City, Dorothy's adventure in Oz has been made into several motion pictures, several stage plays, and been referenced or spoofed in numerous pop culture appearances. The Wizard of Oz was honored by the American Film institute as being the 6th best film of all time, in addition to having been aired yearly on television for almost forty years.
