Did you know?
The Kansas sequences were originally filmed in Technicolor using a sepia tone (as above). However, later prints of the film used for TV broadcasts, and then VHS showed the Kansas sequences in black and white. It wasn't until the 50th Anniversary edition restoration that the Kansas sequences were restored to technicolor.
